How to install the Event Espresso plugin
Event Espresso plugin installation in WordPress
Installing Event Espresso can be done through the WordPress dashboard. Here, you can find a step by step guide:
Requirements
- WordPress Version: 4.5
- Event Espresso plugin
- PHP Version: 7.4 or higher
- PHP memory_limit = 64M (128MB minimum recommended)
Manually installing from the Dashboard:
- Download the latest version of Event Espresso from your Event Espresso account page. It will be saved to your computer as a zip file usually as event-espresso-core-reg.zip (Note: if your computer automatically unzips the file, it will look like you downloaded a folder, not a .zip file. The folder will need to be re-zipped, or you can change the settings on your browser so that files are not automatically unzipped.)
- Then navigate to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and from there navigate to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.
- Select the .zip file you previously downloaded above and then click Install now, wait a little while the file is uploaded to the site, and then click on Activate Plugin.
See our installation video to walk through the above:
Note: If you are unable to upload the Event Espresso zip file it is likely because the file size is too large for your server's current settings. Contact your website host to update your max_upload_filesize value to fix this.
