Understanding RESVRD Registrations

RESVRD is an internal temporary registration status used in Event Espresso to track reserved spots for attendees who have not yet completed their registration. This view of RSRVD Regs is only displayed in the Legacy Editor, we recommend using the Advanced Editor.

How RESVRD Works

  • When a user starts the registration process but does not complete the attendee information step, Event Espresso temporarily holds a spot for them.
  • The system marks these registrations as RESVRD to prevent overbooking while they are filling out the form.
  • If the user does not complete the registration within a certain time, the RESVRD registration expires, and the spot is freed up.

How Long Are RESVRD Registrations Held?

The hold duration is controlled by the Session Timeout setting in Event Espresso.

By default, this is 60 minutes, but you can adjust it under:

Event Espresso → Registration Form → REg Form Settings (tab)→ Session Settings (heading) - > "Session Lifespan"

Do RESVRD Registrations Show Up in the Admin Panel?

No, RESVRD registrations are not displayed in the WordPress admin dashboard. They only exist temporarily in the database while the session is active.

When Are RESVRD Registrations Converted or Removed?

  • If the user completes registration → The status updates to Incomplete (RIC) or Pending Payment (RPP).
  • If the user abandons registration → The RESVRD entry expires and is removed.

Key Takeaways

  • RESVRD = Reserved spots for incomplete registrations.
  • Automatically expires after session timeout.
  • Prevents overbooking while user is registering.
  • Does not appear in the WordPress admin panel.

Note: If you experience issues with stuck RESVRD registrations, try adjusting the session timeout settings or clearing expired sessions manually.
