Collect Attendee Information for each Ticket when registering multiple attendees
With Event Espresso, one attendee (the Primary Registrant) can register additional attendees (Additional Registrants) in a single checkout, and you can collect information for each ticket/registration.
The Primary Registrant is the first attendee in the group. Additional Registrants to collect attendee information for each ticket/registration purchase:* are the other attendees that are part of the same registration (2+).
Setup
To collect attendee information for each ticket/registration purchase do the following:
- Edit your event in WordPress.
- In the Questions for Additional Registrants area (on the right-hand side of the event editor), select the question group(s) that contain the questions you want to ask for each attendee.
- If needed, go to Event Espresso → Registration Forms to create additional questions and add them to new or existing question groups, then return to the event and select those groups for Additional Registrants.
Register Multiple Attendees in the Same Checkout
When someone registers for your event, they can select more than one ticket in a single transaction. At checkout:
- The Primary Registrant first completes their own attendee information.
- Additional attendee forms are then shown for each extra ticket, using the question groups you selected for Additional Registrants.

This allows one person to register a group (family, team, colleagues) in a single checkout while still collecting details for each individual attendee.
Copying Details Between Attendees
If the Primary Registrant is buying several tickets, Event Espresso provides a convenient way to copy the data from the first attendee form to subsequent attendee forms. This reduces repetitive data entry while still allowing changes to individual attendee information as needed.
For example, if two tickets are purchased and only the **Personal Information** question group is enabled for Additional Registrants, the Primary Registrant can copy their personal details to the second attendee and then edit only what's different.

Messages and Notifications
Each attendee receives their own notification when their registration is approved.
This means that:
- The Primary Registrant receives a confirmation for their own registration.
- Each Additional Registrant can receive a separate confirmation email using the Messaging system templates you have configured.
